Homework Mix 34 - Ippei

Ok, here we go. The final race of the 2024 season accompanied by the final edition in the debut season of G-FORCE. We really did that.

2024 really has been a season of unpredictability. The first time this many different drivers have won a race in a season. The rise of Mclaren, the return of Ferrari, the never-ending rollercoaster of Mercedes and the unexpected 2-3 podium from Alpine. This season really had it all. So much tea, so much spice; we wonder how much of this is going to be included in the next season of Drive To Survive and what vital parts they’re going to leave out… The world championship might have already been won but the constructor’s championship is still to play for this weekend in Abu Dhabi - myself (Chanel) will always be loyal to Ferrari so I’m hoping for a red win with it being a nice way to round off Sainz’ time with the team and more confidence for Lewis joining (ahhh!) Patricia on the other hand is torn but mostly rooting for the underdogs, Mclaren, who we have seen made such good strides over the last few years. And whilst we reflect on the season behind us, we’re also looking ahead to 2025; a season of lots of change. So many new faces on the grid next year, so many team changes. It’s going to be a very strange season for sure but we’re looking forward to seeing the likes of Ollie Bearman and Kimi Antonelli come through from F2 and bring some new energy to the race.

Now onto the mix to round everything off for 2024. Heading to Washington, DC, we have the brilliant DJ and producer Djoser gracing the G-FORCE series - a powerful edition to the series filled with periods of intensity flowing into more quiet, introspective moments. Spanning across dub, techno and experimental club music, it’s a challenging mix that only allows you to take a breath right at the very end.
