'Distortion zebra' era starts with this new brand release, the ninety first, during 9th anniversary celebrations. For this special occasion the head-honcho, u z z v, is launching an eight tracks album/mixtape called 'NINE' . Almost three years of work which includes a solo track called 'Nine', where the artist wants to show all the 'zebra marks' -talking about sub-genres-, from a 'Club Mix' version where house beats can feel it, to a 'Circus Rave Mix' where the acid synths and the imprint's darkest face mixed. Continuing with the sideshow-circus thematic, 'Funambolo' is the first collaboration between u z z v and the Italian producer Jamahr. Couple more label-artists contributed on this piece too, Last Vision on 'Cometas' and the Ecuadorian born Barucc on 'Drmmr'. Memoria Records founder Izaakson steps up to fresh minimal and techno label 17 Records with
his Troy EP, a sublime new four-track outing of expertly crafted sound.
Izaakson has earned a fine reputation in the scene over the last two decades as a DJ and producer with a stylish sound. He has spent the last 10 years solely focused on running his label, but after
several invites to return to the forefront, he is now back playing and making fresh sounds once more.
The first music of this new chapter has come on Memoria Records as well as Cardinal and Invade
Records, and earlier this year, he launched the "IZIL" project with Massimo Girardi and Ilario Liburni.
Now in solo mode, he offers up some essential club-ready grooves.
Opener 'Troy' is a slick and stripped-back tech cut with balmy synths circling around the snappy
snares. Smart vocal fragments drop in and out as the hefty kicks power along this most compelling of
backroom cuts. The excellent 'Tek No' is a perfectly reduced brew of deft synth modulations and
rubbery drums. It comes alive with tripped-out melodic phrases as the hypnotic bass keeps dancers
locked. The pace picks up with the deep, dynamic and punchy 'Nomad' which has curious effects and
filtered vocals, all bringing the groove to life next to the party starting and acid-tinged synths. 'Rosada'
closes down with a menacing energy and twisted synth leads over more well-defined drums and yet
another irresistible bassline.
This is another great release from Izaakson, who remains as innovative as ever.

Pakate Records keeps the momentum going and steps up the game, offering one of its essential packages to date. The vibrant city of Miami resonates loudly on this one, becoming the core of two hefty collaborations between label head Jean Pierre and Natalia Roth. Entitled "Pitch Black" EP also features three stellar remixes: two by Djebali and one by Sakro. Both the originals recall fast-paced, heads-down scenarios, with JP and Natalia joining forces for some proper underground material. Droves of ethnic percussions get melted with modular bleeps, scattering effects, and deadly sharp grooves for two hypnotic, rumbling tunes. Pitch and chords overlap, giving rise to a jumble of sounds that resonate within the ears with the collision of the sounds and emotions. On the remix duties, Parisian veteran Djebali offers two reinterpretations of "Monologue" - conveying a sense of mystical wonder, exploring enchanted rooms with some slick drum programming: a late-night dive into the minimal house realms. Lastly, Mexican artist Sakro opts for a shimmering, bumpy remix of "Pitch Black" by upping the tempo and drawing on his recent house & electro influences, delivering a filthy and swirling production destined for the later hours.

Izaakson has a solid reputation in the underground dance community. 
Around the years 2005 - 2010 he established himself as a DJ with his minimalist approach. 

He is the driving force behind the much-renowned Memoria Records, which he has been running since 2008.  Izaakson decided to stop his own DJ career in 2012 to devote his full attention to leading Memoria, which has numerous Labels and Artists affiliated with it. Running the vinyl shop and distribution also took up a lot of his time.

Izaakson has continued to make music and release it under various pseudonyms and as an unknown artist over the years.

Old contacts asked him to play again in the summer of 2022, which he accepted. Following that, the requests became more frequent, and he decided to restart his career.

Since then, Izaakson has been working regularly in his studio, and his first EPs have appeared on his own Memoria Records, Cardinal and Invade Records, among others.

In 2023, he also launched the "IZIL" project with Massimo Girardi and Ilario Liburni, whom he has known for over ten years. The guys had previously worked together in other aspects of underground dance, and they now work together in the studio and on stage.
