23 years ago the KLF announced they were leaving the music business. They deleted their back catalogue and burned £1m on a remote island in Scotland. This mixumentary tells their story; a strange and often chaotic tale traversing hip hop, gospel, trance, techno, ambient, house and pop amongst other things. It is my tribute to the band that produced the first single I ever bought, a tribute to a band that, despite becoming the largest selling singles act in the world, remain largely forgotten.

(ANNOUNCEMENT IN DESCRIPTION) Katamari Damacy - Lonely Rolling Star [OST]

A loving tribute to a master composer & band leader with whom I toured the world for 25 years. Paul Kantner founded Jefferson Airplane (for which he was inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1996) and Jefferson Starship. His instruments were 12 string guitar, glass harmonica & keyboard. His influences were diverse and eclectic ... lyrically & politically aligned with Pete Seeger and The Weavers ... compositionally drawing upon Scots-Irish balladry, John Phillip Sousa, Wagner, Phillip Glass and film score and sound design motifs. He was an early proponent of electronica and special fx. All those elements are interpolated here ... 'creating new instruments' in Maschine from samples of (his) songs from 1971-1973 ... (re)mixing them with songs elements of some of his most ambitious and arcane compositions, particularly "Epic #38," adding some original drum parts of my own creation.

Haxan Cloak's unreleased score from Episode 5, poorly tweaked in Audacity to remove speech, crickets, hissing and some weird beeps, and to normalize volume.

As dirty as it is, you have to appreciate the effectiveness of Audacity's Vocal Remover. Colin Farrel's voice drowns out the music in the original, but in the edit all that is left is some quietish cutlery jangle squelch.

The best we have for now? Apparently!

Life In A Nut's Hell

Greetings!

I'm an ambient artist from Estonia, born back in 1988. I love to learn and experiment with all kinds of sounds and genres, but especially in the space and dark spectrum, and one of my dream jobs would be creating movie and/or video game soundtracks. 

Until then I keep practicing and playing around. Perhaps a bit of acoustic guitar ambience will be added at some point as well.
