IZIKI Presents Djuma Soundsystem “He Lele EP”
Staying true to his sound, Djuma Soundsystem takes the listener on a journey into the deep jungle where it all began. Where the dancefloor meets fireside tribal rituals, he has delivered a unique and thoughtfully executed piece which electrifies and compels only the most wild and free forms of expression.
Born out of Djuma Soundsystem’s many dance gatherings spread over locations all over the globe, we are proud to introduce our very first release for IZIKI. The debut EP off the label titled ‘He Lele’ kicks us off with an original by the founder himself, as well two stunning reinterpretations by Aero Manyelo & Animal Trainer.
Next up, we have South African based artist Aero Manyelo who’s made his mark with a number of releases on some of Europe's finest labels such as Get Physical Music, Moblack Records and Voltaire Music as well as having support by the likes of Dixon, Damian Lazarus and Diplo on some of his records.
For his remix, he has delivered an Electronic Symphony - a consistent driving force that is the bassline, with indigenous chants and an underlying layer of strings and synths which awakens beauty within as only Aero Manyelo is able to achieve in his work.
 The listener can expect nothing less but to enjoy this both within the dark confines of the club as well as within their homes reminiscing of old memories thought to be forgotten.
Wrapping up the EP, we have the Swiss duo Animal Trainer who have solidified their space in electronic music having released on Stil Vor Talent, Katermukke, Off Recordings, Dantze as well as their own Hive Audio. This duo has shown a more minimalistic approach with their remix yet staying true to their craft of having an incredible balance between tight grooves and infectious hooks. Animal Trainer has shown us that music can surround you, grow with you and grow for you just as humans do. With a bassline providing ample backdrop for the floor together with rolling percussion and synths, they have delivered a rhythmic club record that stays true to the meaning of Iziki - The Rhythm.

Iziki is back with a face lift and top energized, after a year everybody is eager to forget! Kicking it all off with Aussie Mount Mike meeting French/German duo Boy Oh Boy and supporting top class remixes from Kellerkind and Sparrow & Barbossa.
Boy Oh Boy are a relatively new outfit on the scene, but their genuine talents made them irresistible to the Iziki family! In their short time they have already worked with Cioz, The Cavemen, Out of Sorts, T.M.A. and David Mayer, and had releases out on Get Physical, Lukins, Athmosphare and Poesie records.
Here they provide two original tracks; "Para Mim", an amazing shuggy groover, that constantly morphs around hypnotizing chants, stabs and glitches, and the title track; super catchy tropical "Para Onde", made in collaboration with Australia's finest; Mount Mike.
We picked out some of our favorite remixers for this one, and the first pick was Kellerkind. If going to Switzerland, it's hard to find a bill without the name Kellerkind on it...and that for a good reason!
This man simply never fails in bringing the heat, as well as the heart - on the decks and in the studio alike. Neither did he disappoint this time; stripping the track back to it's core, giving respect to his beloved Chicago house, as well as bringing it into this day and age with groovy Afro percussions and big piano cords, hypnotizing the listener until the last beat fades out.

The other pick was just as obvious for us; the Swiss and Uruguayan duo Sparrow & Barbossa. No one can touch these guys in combining house with Latin grooves and melodies!
Here they show off their great percussion and piano talents again; starting off with a deep tom-based groove, that soon takes everyone by surprise, with Cuban cords, pitched down vocals and even horns to match, before bringing it all down deep again.
This will be the track that turns the warmup into a proper dance floor.

in honor of the first original percussive beat.

This vibrant colourful community is now brought back to life in the open,
by a small mixed group of people from every corner of the world.
Their aim is to spread Ziziki's gospel of acceptance on a global scale,
starting locally and then growing outwards.

Tribal events celebrating creativity and inspiration will occur in
various places all around the globe, starting with
Copenhagen, New York, Malmø, Berlin, Santiago, Johannesburg
... and wherever there's enthusiasm for welcoming the beating of the tribal drum.
