You are part of a creative team crafting a captivating composition. The goal is to create something remarkable, pushing boundaries and embracing new perspectives. 

There is this one guy, Keith, a team member, who brings that unexpected and unusual idea and takes charge of the remaining tasks. 

Initially, his unconventional beat concept causes skepticism but it holds potential to transform the composition. As the composition progresses, the bass aligns miraculously with Keith's concept, solidifying the team's chosen path. 

Despite uncertainty, Keith showcases the influence of drummers in shaping the composition's vibe. His unique perspective adds intrigue and captures everyone's attention. 

One moment occurs when Keith drops the beat entirely, relying on percussion accents and poly-rhythmic whisperings.  This risky move exemplifies his willingness to push boundaries. 

Keith's persistence and creativity pay off as the composition, named "Nag Champa," emerges as distinctive and innovative. 

This journey teaches the power of thinking beyond expectations for extraordinary artistic achievements.

Behind the song, Nag Champa was inspired by the renowned incense of the same name. It happened to be burning during the creative process, creating an atmospheric and sensory backdrop for the song's birth. 

The name holds significance, as Nag Champa incense is cherished for its captivating aroma that transports one to a tranquil and introspective state. Similarly, the song Nag Champa aims to transport listeners to a unique musical realm, evoking feelings of transcendence and exploration.

As I gaze upon the landscape ahead from this vantage point, much of ancient history seems obscured beneath the sandy terrain.

Legends persist of a once-magnificent kingdom in this dusty expanse. Agade, the crown jewel of empires, where a wise monarch named Naram-Sin recognized that true strength lies in compassion.

As our bird hovers above canyons and remnants, I envision the grandeur that once stood tall. The tension held in the formidable, foreboding bass line, occasionally stirred by the echoes of bygone eras.

In a staccato rhythm, we seek to recreate the concept of towering ziggurats reaching out to the distant gods, streets pulsating with the presence of scholars and art from every corner, united in their pursuit of answers.

Under Naram-Sin's guidance, knowledge, rather than conquest, became Agade's most prized export.

Its renown grew through the exchange of insights, not victories on the battlefield.

But as the poets gently remind us, nothing precious can endure forever. Time and the tides of war slowly eroded the walls of Agade, as heard at the 3:34 mark.

Yet, perhaps the spirit of Naram-Sin still lingers here, a testament to the nurturing of creativity instead of the clash of steel. It serves as a reminder that when leaders foster innovation rather than invasion, even deserts can flourish.

So let us share with those who lend an ear, tales of how kindness, not brute force alone, elevates a land to glory.

"Vampire 2-1, you are cleared to scout ahead." The radio screeches, "Watch those dunes!"

History has left messages here if we know where to listen, I think to myself.

"Vampire Lead, out."

Looking at the terrain ahead, it might be worth putting eyes on that half-buried archway sticking up about two klicks north. @4:30 we set down and explore the rest by foot.

My maps ID it as what's left of the Ishtar Gate, which once marked Babylon's royal entrance in all her glory.

They say King Nebuchadnezzar had it plated with solid blue glazed bricks.

Hmm...

Any kingdom that gets so caught up in flash... eventually blinds itself.

The Story Behind: As this piece came into life, we were HEAVILY influenced, by Jesper Kyd,and the @ac-initiates franchise. It tied in perfectly to dealing with PTSD, through the eyes of an Operator in the same locations.
