Izzumm - is a russian musician, composer and sound producer making psychedelic chillout music and chillgressive.

izzumm [izzju:m] aka Boris Solodovnikov - is an ethno-electronic composer and multiinstrumental musician, playing live ethnic and modern musical instruments such as tabla,djambe,darbuka,uzbekistan doira,indian chimta, nepali daf, shaman drum, vargans,tibetian singing bowls,guitars and basses, with mixing them with virtual and analog synths and effects.


izzumm came into music in '97, when first time went out on the Arbat street in Moscow, singing popular songs with friend Andrew. Street music - it's a very good scene practice. Some time later, in '98, the band 'Redkie Zemli' (Rare Lands) was founded. The band was playing covers of popular Russian Rock bands and also their own made songs. They appeared in several Moscow clubs and one Rock Festival of Kalugskii Region, but the main scene still was the Arbat street. The band 'Redkie Zemli' was : Dan Preobrajenskii - guitar , vocals izzumm - guitar, vocal Evgenii Zorin - bass, vocal Bobbych - drums. Andrew Fillimonov - drums, guitars They disbanded in '99 after the death of the band drummer Bobbych.


In '98 - '00 izzumm was studyng rock and jazz guitar, in '01 - '02 - sound engineering and computer arrangement. He made his first album 'Prayer to Space', contained 5 tracks as a diploma work for the course. In 2002 - 'Sheveleniya' (Movements) project gathered. They were playing electronic-dub. It was mostly a studio project. Sheveleniya project was: Mityai Tyurin - guitars izzumm - computers, guitars, percussion Maxx Slavkin - vocals, keyboards The band made one CD contained 6 tracks called 'Sheveleinia'.


In '02 - '03 izzumm also joined the band 'Moskow Dub Project' as a sound engineer. Here he met a guitar player - Dmitry Skvortsov aka Skvor - and soon in 2004 they made live ethno project called 'Waveshapes', where izzumm played tabla, djembe, freetless bass and singing bowls. The band was playing in the clubs of Chinese tea culture, appeared on the 'Sky Gravity fest' in Ukraine and still making music. Waveshapes


In 2004 izzumm started to perform as a DJ. He was playing chill-out sets and some times played psy-trance sets usually in the morning time. From 2004 izzumm appeard on lots of scenes, parties, festivals. At the same time he was working as a sound engineer and with the band DiDuLa and made more than 400 shows from 2003 - 2005.


In 2006 izzumm made an album called 'Stories of Wilderness', from where the tracks 'GMSI', 'Long Fly', 'Early autumn comming on', 'Palaces of Sunset' and 'On the Edge' were released on VA - 'Soul Reflection 2' - 2006, VA - 'Peace and Love' 2007, and VA - 'Waves' - 2008. Unforunately whole album wasn't released.

On December 2009 two more tracks "Rogodoov" and "And the Wind across the River" were released on VA - "Peace and Love-2" by Vertigo Records

Next release appeared in 2011 -  EP "Life journey and Himalaya" on Spaceradio Records, and later on, a single track on a compilation "VA - 14
 Dragon tales" of the same label. The track name is - "There is no A", and it is a almost completely guitar composition, made and recorded in Goa in 2013.

In January 2017 one more EP - Spiritual Metamorphing was released by Spaceradio Records. It is a 36 min. dive into the subconsciousness and was also made in Goa.
