The event was possible thanks to Award for best artist 2018 funded by the President of Lodz
Many thanks also to Specialist Center for Victims of Domestic Violence in Lodz.
Recorded women who have taken part in our workshops are telling the story of 19 rivers flowing under the city of Lodz (Boat city), telling the stories of their own emotions dreams and fears. The extremely fast growth of our city in the XIX th century was connected with rivers and forests – perfect conditions for textile industry, both were devastated. It was also strongly connected with the fate of women working in the textile industry. The performance is about going underground to hide, wait and survive. it’s about transformation and searching for a way to go back to the surface.
