Long time resident artist Noraj Cue returns on Manual Music with his long awaited 'Drowning' single, a song that has been buzzing around the Dutch techno scene for quite some time now but never got an official release.. until now! Next to the highly hypnotic original we're happy to welcome living legend Dimitri (aka Dimitri From Amsterdam) on board for remix duties. The original of 'Drowning' has been a sure thing in his sets in the past 1+ year so when we asked him if he was up for remixing it it didn't took long for him to be on board with the plan. He keeps the dark dramatic feel of the original but adds a proper dose of melodies. To end things in style 'Manic Depression' is another dark, deep mesmerizing piece of techno music.

Noraj Cue really shows his darker (techno) side here, a side he showed us before when he released on our Stolen Moments label. Two proper bombs by this Dutch production wizard topped of by a big remix by the infamous Dimitri. What more can you ask for?

Flannan took to turntable rocking in 1998 right after he discovered the art of DJing and also started to make his first bits of electronic productions with a basic DOS-tracker.

"Veelzijdigheid, originaliteit, maar vooral buiten die vermoeiende hokjes denken, dát is waar het volgens J.Flannan (Jorden Flannan van Pelt) allemaal om draait. De Utrechtse DJ/producer mag met recht een van de stad’s meest veelbelovende artiesten op dance gebied worden genoemd met een geheel eigen sound waarin diversiteit , avontuur en lef samenkomen in een energieke flow met scherpe randjes. Niet voor niets wordt hij door kenners geroemd als een van de smaakmakers van de Utrechtse underground…

J. Flannan zette zijn eerste stappen op het muzikale pad al op zeer jonge leeftijd: als 5-jarige levert hij al zijn eerste producties af op het orgel van zijn oma. Een levenslange passie voor muziek is geboren. In de vroege jaren ’90 begint J. Flannan met gitaarspelen, maar zet deze al gauw bij het grofvuil als hij in 1998 in de ban van de draaitafel raakt. Niet lang daarna begint hij ook met het produceren van zijn eigen muziek op een simpele DOS-tracker. Al snel worden zijn muzikale talenten opgemerkt door organisatoren, wat resulteert in een serie spraakmakende gigs op feesten zoals Smeerboel, Snotapen, Altitude 7, Intacto Label Night,Rising Stars en Groenendaal Festival. 

J.Flannan’s sound heeft zich ontwikkeld tot een volwassen en hybride mix met enkel ruimte voor het allerbeste op minimal, tech-house en techno gebied. Maar ook in de studio borrelt het aan alle kanten: naast een serie eigen producties die steeds vaker prominente plekken in de platenkoffers van DJs krijgen is J.Flannan druk bezig met het realiseren van een live-set. Want diversiteit, daar gaat het tenslotte allemaal om."
