Jason Holcomb (Holcomb) comes from the small town of Camden, Arkansas. He was raised in a home of 4. As a child, Jason instantly grew an infatuation with music, writing, poems, and dancing. His parents (Betty and Bernard Holcomb) played a variety of music such as Blues, 70’s, 80’s, Jazz, Smooth Jazz, and R&B. On most nights, he would sit in the living room, and listen to music with his parents b
efore bedtime. Other nights he would listen to hip hop with his brother Rodney (D Bill). These nights with his brother inspired Jason at an early age to become a rap artist. 

In the summer of 1999 Jason went to Lawton, Oklahoma with his brother Rodney (D Bill). There he was exposed to a small recording studio that was set up in a bedroom of friend’s house. This was the beginning of Jason’s adventure as a rap artist. “By that time, my brother and I recorded our first song on a tape cassette. That inspired me even more”. Later, Jason joined a local rap group with his best friend Lex (Kuzzo Kash) in the summer of 2002. The group was named “CMD” (Camden’s Most Destruction). “Now We Ready” was one of CMD’s hottest singles during Jason’s senior year of high school, yet after his graduation the group members went their separate ways. The group’s separation foreshadowed a standstill for Jason’s music. 

After a year at Arkansas State University (Jonesboro, AR) Jason decided to take a break from his music. He went four years, without picking up a pen. Then by the 5th year, his pen started moving again as he resumed writing lyrics. This time was different however, “Instead of searching for a producer, I decided to make my own beats”. Jason then purchased his first studio equipment while absorbing any information beneficial to his development as a producer. He began his career as a producer with the combination of a beat machine (Roland Boss BR-900cd) and an old keyboard. Later, Jason began taking classes at a local music store. As his knowledge began to expand he developed a need for enhanced equipment. He then purchased a Korg synthesizer and received an Akai MPC 500 as a gift. “I felt like I was back in action with music, like I was in my younger days”. In addition to his craft of producing, Holcomb continues his journey as a rap artist. His ultimate dream is to embed a positive footprint in the history of Hip Hop.
