The summer 2024 is going to be hot for Danish jazz & soul artist BAUN 
releasing four singles, leading up to his debut album “Beginnings” in the fall.

The first offering “Living in Your Mind” is a jazzy daydream that helps you to break the spell of the daily struggle. BAUN stretches out one loving hand while playing soulful chords with the other, inviting you to revisit your inner visions.

“Living In Your Mind” is for people who feels like their biggest dreams don't fit in the real world. BAUN is gearing up with his world class band for the summer with warm, uplifting, and analogue grooves for the starving soul. Let’s daydream together!

A beautiful ballad about taking one day at a time 

In the summer 2024 The Danish Jazz & Soul pianist and singer BAUN is ready with his fourth and final single from his upcoming debut album: “Beginnings”. 

The song is a ballad called “Everyday” and invites the listener to take a deep breath and be present in the moment, in the music and in life. One day at a time. 

“It’s easy to be caught up contemplating the past and making plans for the future. I wrote ‘Everyday’ to help myself remember that each new day is a new opportunity to meet myself and the world” BAUN says about his new single. 

“Everyday” is a warm soundscape of handplayed acoustic instruments and voices. A calm brazil inspired groove with soft piano, trombone and cello.

A catchy and groovy song with lyrics inspired by being a teenager, and learning to believe in yourself.

Don't Give Up The Fight

A soulful love declaration with a sparkling groove from BAUN 

Second single in the summer 2024 from the Danish jazz & soul artist BAUN. 

“I Wanna Be Your Man” is a funky and soulful declaration of love. The sparkling groove and jazzy harmonies came to BAUN out of the blue. Inspired by New Orleans funk with horns, breaks, hooklines and lots of energy it goes straight for the body and soul. 

Same day as the singles drops BAUN will play at the Roots & Jazz festival in Copenhagen with his six-piece killer band. On this open-air stage with room for +1K audience artists like Bilal, Butcher Brown and Judith Hill have performed.

Dreamy and calm interlude with retro synths, moog, acoustic piano and a lush choir singing ”Let go… now”

Let Go

A young philosophers funky song with a lot of rhythm and jazzy harmonies. Add more vocals, horns, percussion and an adventurous moog solo and go dancing.

Life

The third single in the summer 2024 from the Danish Jazz & Soul artist BAUN. It’s a groovy banger called “Listen Here” that will take listeners on a loving journey through The Golden Gate into the future.
 
The song is written on a rainy day in a basement appartment, dreaming of blue skies and sunshine. Wait for it! The solo is played by the Danish harmonica prodigy Mathias Heise and will definitly lift you up high!  

“Listen Here” showcases BAUN’s ability to merge soulful storytelling with a unique jazz flavour, creating a sound that is both timeless and contemporary.
