Innocent quality to this.  Catchy too, campfire sing-a-long.  I really love the line - And I know that I'll design my own defeat.

Man, i really love this one... the whole vibe is just easy and relaxed, and just simple, honest lyrics. Well done. 

On an unrelated note, based on your use of commas in jokes, I was thinking you might make this song be "Hide Me, NOT!" (sang in a Borat style when he learns "not" jokes), ok but then when I heard the song it's really thoughtful and beautiful
