This is one of my favourites of yours so far this year. I dunno. Just feeling this one. Love the use of the theme, love the guitar and feel to it.

Oh, James, this is great. Such vivd imagery in the lyrics, and the bends & grit in yiur voice shape the story beautifully.

I initially wrote this song with a 40 minute limit within at a songwriting workshop with singer-songwriter Laura Veirs. I used her prompt cards which gave some clear parameters to write with, and then went from there. It allowed me to stop judging my writing as I was writing and made for much more interesting lyrics for me.
