Out of all the artists that inspired me to create my own music - NF, Joji, Keshi and many more - Juice WRLD is the one who has influenced me the most over the years. His style, lyrical ability, and vocal prowess all impressed me and I've tried to incorporate them into this song.

HELP (Juice WRLD Tribute)

Even though my background is Punjabi, I'd never tried to make a Punjabi song before, mostly because I didn't really listen to many Punjabi songs. But the more I started to listen, the more I began remembering my childhood - things I'd forgotten. 

And I got the urge to write this.

This is my first time being in a situationship or friends-with-benefits - whatever you wanna call it - that wasn't toxic or didn't go south, and it really surprised me. I visited Japan for 3 weeks with my friends last year, and I made this song as soon as I got back to encapture the way I felt during the trip. The laughter shared with friends, the amazement of exploring a new country, the excitment from trying new food, and the joy from travelling with people I love. It has all been incorporated into this song.

Summer usually isn't my favourite season, especially where I live, it gets boiling hot. But I always find myself missing it when it cycles over to autumn. I guess I subconsciously made this love song in relation to that, where you wish for something even more when it nears its end because only then do you understand its value. Like how we wish we had our childhood back after realising the struggles of adulthood.

When I first heard this beat, a great wave of nostalgia washed over me; days when we ate cotton candy at the local fair on a warm summer night, riding our bikes to the arcade during school holidays, meeting at the local cafe every morning before school to chill with mates, frozen coke and cheeseburgers after school. All these memories came rushing back to me, and I tried to convey that same feeling in this song.
