I made this sample-free remix for Cage exactly 2 and a half years ago - it's time for it to finally be released!  

This remix is really personal to me.  One of my best friends/mentor, Bryan "Ports" Coyle (R.I.P), first put me on to Cage back in High School and I've been a big fan since.  I received the call to remix a song for Cage from Jim at Soulspazm, just five minutes after receiving the absolutely devastating news that Ports passed away.

I was told that they needed the remix as soon as possible and I also found out that Port's wake was that same night back home on LI.  So, I rounded up the troops (mine and Ports' crew, The BCF) to all meet up in Manhattan and roll together back to LI for the wake.  

I had literally an hour to do this remix.

I couldn't even see straight but I knew I had to do this remix for Ports.

It's an honor to remix a song for Cage / to have Mighty Mi co-sign me doing so.  

This remix is also me paying tribute to my brother Ports.

Torae asked me to remix this track off his Admission of Guilt project, so I brought in Grammy Award Winning musician, Jay Jennings as well future legend/close collaborator of mine; ATR to play extra keys and backup vocals through out the track. This track is 100% sample-free -- all melodies derived from me humming them in voice memos on my iphone.

I made this song about a year ago and decided it was time for her to surface.  The good homie Chris B. Murray blessed me with the artwork. This instrumental tells the tale of Breaking Bad sonically. I really felt it embodied all the emotions throughout the series and figured it was only right to name it something associated with it.  What better than a dope name like Heisenberg Blue? ha!
