Boss of the renowned Nocturne after-hours events and label, Jordan hails from the Northern Irish capital, Belfast. He also runs The Night Institute party with Timmy Stewart and is an aficionado in all things house, disco and Italo. Having cut his teeth as a student in Leeds, it’s back in Belfast that he’s really built himself into the respected name he is today, a fact reflected in his association with AVA Festival, where his is a staple among the local bookings. 

Last year, Jordan released the second of his ‘Nocturne Edits 002’ EPs, the follow-up to his highly sought-after first edition, which garnered acclaim from the likes of Gerd Janson, Midland and Bicep. “I have years of samples on a hard-drive, and about five soft synths I use to write music on a daily basis,” he told us then, so we’re expecting that demand to only continue.

90s rave euphoria with queer high energy is Jake's brand of house music. Piano chords, vocals, classic synths and big basslines make for liberating, hands-in-the-air sets, while hyped debut releases and collaborations are promising a breakthrough 2025.   

A reputation for crowd favourite sets built Jake's momentum from grassroots to iconic queer parties, to festivals including Field Manuevers, Electric Picnic, and Glastonbury. Jake has run a monthly party in Hackney from 2022, is resident with the eccentric Sue Veneers queer dance party, and runs nights for This Is My Culture collective - currently making big moves following their legendary summer raves. 

2024 saw Jake move into his anticipated production space, teasing on-brand sampling and collaborations with scene-leading MC-vocalists, creating surefire underground anthems for 2025. 

While 90s rave spirit is clear in Jake’s music, his influences are broad and keeps crowds hooked with varied, uniting energy. Often with rousing tones of release, Jake draws from 90s House, Garage, Hard House, Eurodance, Trance, Hip House, pop edits and much more.

With banger-focused releases, radio slots showcasing impressive musical knowledge, exciting moves with his unique collective, and guaranteed highlight sets, this DJ-producer is unafraid to give pure energy, life, and freedom to a dancefloor. Expect big plans from Jake Reed in 2025.
