"One day soon, I’ll learn to fly..."  
But clocks keep turning, dreams stay small,  
I build new walls, I climb, I fall.


I chase the light that's out of frame,  
A picture blurred by time and shame…


For years I've lived inside a dream,  
Convincing me that hope still gleams.  
That one day, maybe, I’ll be free,  
And live the life that lives in me.  
One day... maybe...


I dress the pain in quiet clothes,  
A smile that hides what no one knows.  
They see me strong, they call me brave,  
But I’m just digging my own cave.


And still I whisper through the fight,  
"Someday, somehow, I’ll get it right…”

Time slips by without a sound...
Is it noon or late-night on a weekend?
Years dissolve like waves in the sand
My hands are empty - it's time to go again

The mirror shows me morning hair turned gray
But yesterday still feels like spring’s first day
I turn the pages, months have disappeared
In the autumn of my life, dreams never came near

Passing through the silence, I lose my way
Can’t tell if it’s morning or fading day
Years like watermarks fade and fall
And I’m still reaching with nothing at all

The clock ticks on, and silence asks me:
“Why did you lock up every memory?”
Summer’s gone, and winter came
Still stuck in a day that never changed

Each second falls like leaves in air
Only lines of memory linger there
Where did my time escape so fast?
Why does it whisper and never last

We murdered freedom,
Buried it deep in our fears...

We’re rewriting the same old years.

Maybe we died somewhere else,
And this is the hell we made...
The mirrors don’t lie, we’re the ones
Who chose to play the devil’s game!

A starving child asks, "Why’s the sky so gray?"
What do we say? Just faded lies on replay...
The news repeats like an open wound,
But no one screams - we’re all deaf and mute.

Was this fate? Or a choice we designed?
We’re the masters of fire -
So why do we burn inside?!

Maybe we died somewhere else,
And this is the hell we made...

Jamal Zohourian was born in 1968. He started learning music in 1988. He learned classical Guitar from B.Mirkhani and also learned Music Theory, Harmony, Solfa, Counterpoint from Mehran Rohani and Farhad Fakhreddini.  He has composed many pieces for Classical Guitar, Guitar and Orchestra and has also taught music since 1993.
