The little things in life matter more than anything else and being aware of that can bring so much joy. And that exactly happens when listening to the new EP of Mariner + Domingo. Both tracks are so well produced with subtle smooth lush sounds that will undoubtedly put a smile on your face. Both ‘Night A The Circus’ and ‘Starlight Lounge’ are those type of organic house records that can be played on various locations and will bring that special touch to the dancefloor.

This set was one that I really looked forward to, I always love playing @revolverupstairs - the atmosphere there is always one of intense listeners and you can only really prepare to play, what you play depends on how the beautiful party people are feeling collectively at the moment you jump on. 
Because its so vast. 

Put it this, whenever someone asks you 'what should I play at Revs' besides doing your homework and listening to the DJ mixes who is playing before you and after you ( this is a massive way to increase your awareness of how the night / day is going to flow) 
Its determined on the audience, what do they or dont they need right now, at this very moment, sure whats the DJ before me playing plays a big part in it - its a vibe, do we need some light funky house, would a dash of prog do well here? or it that too heavy for these ears right now? you know, you need people to be captured and feel something, feel warm, feel happy and light, peaceful, like its all going to be ok, tomorrow is yesterdays problem - that sort of thing. 

Anyway, that might seem a bit deep for thinking about 'what am i going to play ' but its not, not really, most DJs would think along those lines when jumping on and if they do set prep than your thinking about the whole journey from start to end, at least I try to imagine it that way.
The more you play at a venue for a party, the better you can get a sense for what people need at what times, theres no fast quick way to play the best set of your life each time ( even though that is always my goal) its always important to think about your audience, especially the ones who are their each week, because they are ones who know what to expect you know at 7pm at Revs what do people expect to hear? I'd say good beaty music and depending on the day maybe a light bassy riff with some sweet flowy vocal.

Wow what an incredible set, i had so much fun on the Poof Doof stage!
I've been waiting and wanting to play for the amazing party forever and when i had word that I was back there in December, i had started working on what I was going to play.

After a nice summer break we’re back with our latest release. Greg Ochman keeps on producing astonishing records and ‘Hili’ is again taking our breaths away. With lush subtle sounds that breath warmth and love the English craftsman create a timeless organic house track. Add to the the catchy piano melody and special arp sounds and we have a record that will stand the test of time and will be played on many festivals to come. On remix duties we have three guys that each give their own interpretation to the original. Argentina based Valdovinos never sees to amaze and adds his recognizable organic sound, Tekniq from South Africa adds wonderful rhythms and gives extra attention to the piano and last but not least we have Germany based Skydrips who slows it down a bit and adds a tropical vibe to close off this release in the best way possible.

This is a set where i played it safe in terms of track selection the environment calls for well know music, I'm a fan of playing for the crowed. 
I started heavier than i would normally but, the audience was amped, mainly due to a close friends birthday being in.
