we’re returning to kune festival today for the fourth edition in our collaboration where we will be sharing the sets and stories from their fifth edition earlier this year - taking a deeper dive into the scenes, sounds and style of the festival.

this week the spotlight is on one of the core members of kune festival, martin gilleshøj. the mind behind the programming of the festival, martin gilleshøj is also the co-founder of proton records, part of the axces recordings collective and runs the intimate club series buttheads. a jack of all trades and a fierce champion of those within the local scene and beyond, this passion for bringing people through and spotlighting the music and artists he loves shines through his dj sets. driven with an emotional sensibility and adventurous spirit, martin’s sets are sure to leave you caught in his web. for this edition of kune, martin soundtracked the sunset at the vessel stage for a blissful three hour adventure through hazy, hypnotic soundscapes across trance and deep techno - keeping you spellbound.

This week’s interpretation of Far Blue comes from Berlin-based DJ and Refuge Worldwide and Kynant Records co-founder Richard Akingbehin.

Known for his dub-influenced sound, he takes a faster, techno-oriented approach here, showing a more driving side of Far Blue. Recorded live this summer at Field Maneuvers Festival, the mix balances between energy and depth. Faster motion, still floating.

Dearest @shoall with the new installment of Animix - a recent label affiliate, after his standout 2025 Animalia EP "Temporal Blend". Kenny is an incredibly talented artist - his crispy, driving & psychedelic productions, via an impress slew of vinyl releases in recent years, as well as spelllbinding live-sets. consisently leave me mesmerised. 

Shoal's music really embodies the Animalia vision - not genre bound , but an amalgamation of broad styles,  and influences from many different worlds.. . & most importantly, full of personality. 

Kenny has his own unique flavour and sound, and his passion & love for music can really be felt in his delicate attention to detail & sense for hypnotic groove.. not to mention flawless sound design.& ability to think outside the box. 

A no brainer for the Animix series really :)
