It's Alright (WIP)

This is a song I wrote in the late 90's and published on a compilation with two friends in 2000 called "Blue Fuzzy". The packaging actually had blue fuzzy fabric.

This song was composed with themes of racial privilege in mind. I was thinking a lot about the role of F. W. De Klerk in South Africa at that time but not being much of a lyricist the song ended up being instrumental. I did sample the voice you hear in the middle of the song from a broadcast but I've long since lost the source.

My main two synths in those days were an Ensoniq ASR-10 and Roland JV-1080.

Another one from the archives, around 2000. I found this funny sample from the cartoon Popeye where he's singing to himself, I slowed it down, looped a section of it and paired it with a drum n' bass beat and some goofy samples (Lionel Hutz, anyone?).
