'hands.' - a lively, bass-heavy R&B/Funk track that blends hints of other genres - was written after yet another senseless act of gun violence in the USA. Religious backgrounds suggests that the evil in the world is the work of "the devil" but the song comes from the view point of Oscar Wilde's famous quote: “We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell.”
