Since this is a collaborative endeavour which has been taking place during lockdown we thought as flavours with food intensifies when being pickled
We would create a theme revolving around Our Minds Being pickled in formaldehyde, however we added a bit of CapeTonian spice to the word using “Vrommel” which alludes to the collaboration between friends, and as we have been in lockdown, so our musical favours have been intensifying. See this as the start of a series of amazingly crafted releases incoming this year as we slowly move out of lockdown hibernation. It has been a tough time for everyone, but on the plus side, our artists have been producing around the clock to bring you some very tasty ear candy. This release will be FREE ! However, we urge you to open your hearts(And wallets lol) and donate what you can to these artists who have not been able to play gigs as we all have been experiencing more and more financial pressure. The Octopus is an extra-terrestrial on planet Earth.
It is by far the closest thing we have to an alien apart from man. It's highly intelligent with nine brains, three hearts & blue blood! Like the soundscapes we create, the octopus is somewhat out of place amongst its fellow earthlings.
Psychedelic music sound design is a way of channeling something "alien" into this world. It allows for unique freedom of sonic expression.

With this project Shadow Shaman focused on variety and versatility. Creating each track in a different light or as a different "color" to keep it engaging and nonlinear. It showcases some of his favorite producers & good friends
bringing you new age psychedelic productions in a range of different styles & approaches.

Abra is the Dj\Live act of Regardt van Zyl.

He started producing electronic music at the age of 26 and rapidly developed a melodic / story telling sound. Abra is short for Abramelin and is a name derived from The Book of Abramelin which tells the story of an Egyptian mage named Abramelin, or Abra-Melin, who taught a system of white magic based on the qabala (tree of life), he was presumed to have lived from c.1362–c.1458. Abra strives to transport the individuals imaginations to far away mysterious realms of myth and magick and tries to tell untold tales of old and forgotten times when these themes were a normal part of human life.

He has released under record labels such as : Zenon Records, Psynopticz, Uroburos and Our Minds Music. He is the Co founder of Our Minds Music and Our Minds Festival in Cape Town, South Africa.

He is also the co founder and label manager at www.ourmindsmusic.com
