終究是淨啞的灰藍天色

一條魯蛇 LOSER (WIP version)

Jacalmap is a collaborative project Jack Cheong with Alison Khor. It is an experiment and exploration of sound in its purest form.Everyday objects are deployed for their unique sound quality and augment them with digital processes to challenge our association of sound with our living environment.

Jacalmap’s music is constructed with generative algorithms and real-time processing of objects’ sounds, performing with unusual techniques such as filtering positive feedback and turn it into rumbles of horse galloping. In another example, ring modulation and high resonating patches were used to emulate bell and mallet sound; loop emulating sound of river flow etc.

2011 marks Jacalmap’s first collaboration with poet Mato Tytee. By experiment in bonding electronic music and Mato Tytee’s poem,Jacalmap release their first album ‘Non-Object excersice’ and performed in various countries including Malaysia, Macau etc.

加卡地圖是由Jack和Alison組合而成的實驗音樂團體。兩人在音樂上各有所長，并從日常生活所出現的影像、空間、物件等元素取材，透過數位調變擴延，探索與實驗聲音最純粹的狀態，創造出結合現實元素與想象特質的聲音。

加卡地圖的表演極爲廣泛，包括實驗性聲音現場表演，以物件聲音的演算和即時運算所構成，比如過濾正向的反饋（或「正回饋」positive feedback）並將之轉換成馬只奔跑的聲音，又或者以迴圈仿擬河水流動的聲音等；此類創作曾與錄像裝置藝術家區秀詒於2009年合作台北牯嶺街小劇場合作<時光曲>，平台計劃交流演出<Delusion>等。

此外，加卡地圖的創作也包括迷幻電音，2011年首度與詩人陳頭頭合作，發行了第一張專輯《頭的無實物練習》，曾在馬來西亞、澳門等地演出。
