This track is all about beleiving in yourself. I wrote this during a time in my life where I was finding it difficult to find the confidence needed to really pursue my dreams. As always, writing it down helped and turned a negative thought into positive music. Broken Mirror touches on issues we all deal with and shines a light on ways to properly manage these feelings. The song is about the past present and future. The past of my biological father being absent in the home, my present state as a father trying to figure out how to be a good father despite the dysfunction I grew up with, and what I see for my son’s future. I want to be a father who can teach my son and guide him in the right direction and that’s why this song is a legacy for him to look back upon. The song is a remixed version of Nas’ “The Message” and features a different guitar by 4th Regiment. Recorded and mastered at Eravox Studios.
