CHI was one of the first European groups that performed ambient music on stage. They released the cassette "The Original Recordings" in 1986, that soon became a collectors item. The premiere of their audio-visual show was in 1986 at The Lantaren/Venster in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

This mix contains samples from: 'The Original Recordings' , 'The Bamboo Recordings', 'The Kallikatsou Recordings' and unreleased material.

Pjusk is Rune Sagevik and Jostein Dahl Gjelsvik from the west coast of Norway – both from small villages close to nature. 

The sound of Pjusk is inspired by the harsh Norwegian weather and wild landscape. At the center point of the collaboration between the two is an old cabin high up in the mountains. This is where most of the music of Pjusk is made – framed by snowy peaks and the sound of cold streams.

Operating in Berlin via Moscow, Vlada’s work as an artist is marked by her incessant travelling, and widening boundaries of perception.

From what started with formal tuition on the piano, her sonic explorations have taken her through jazz, funk, and beyond. Caressing the nuances of melody, groove, and mood, Vlada journeys through the various strands of sound condense mesmerisingly under the curiosity of night.

As a DJ, Vlada’s framework lies in house and techno, with the odd excursion through break-beat and electro – but she’s constantly changing and growing, exploring wider ranges on style and experimenting with her musical identity. This isn’t a restlessness that‘s just confined to her music, it’s in her very nature, as someone who is constantly on the move.

Vlada’s selection and overall style matches her penchant for small, intimate, sometimes dark venues, while her natural fluidness, rhythm and internal polarity as an artist and as an individual is matched by a love and deep connection to the sea…

With origins linking back to Iran, London-based Ario is a practitioner of deep and inquisitive music – both as a DJ and label curator.

Although his remit falls within the deeper shades of electronic music, his overall aesthetic draws on a broader spectrum that prizes the synthesis of both instrumental and electronic disciplines.

Depending on context, he traverses the lines and forms between ambient and heavier, club-ready styles. What is common in both worlds, however, is his alchemic handling of rich organicism mixed with darker, more austere sounds. Speaking with an emotive sensitivity, there is a certain self-awareness that permeates his crafted soundscapes, which are as much drone-inspired as they are psychedelic and nature-driven.

It is the natural path that can never be ignored.

Born in 1986’ life is permeated by music in every facet, connecting with sound in a way that traverses stylistic genre. His relationship with music is based on deep emotional connection, using it as a conduit to explore himself instinctively and intimately. 

For him music is a portal, an outlet to the isolation one sometimes experiences in a world of dissonances. Emotional soundscapes are painted through his performances, where music becomes a channel to the universe. Strokes of nature are juxtaposed with rough, industrial counterpoint, where he reveals brief moments of happiness amidst the melancholy. 

This transmission is a personal outlet, dreaming with music to create new realities of perception and identity.

Drifting between the ageing recesses of his mind, Nostalgia’s audio journey traverses chilly barren landscapes, and deep, woodland foliage. 

Nostalgia explores the past through sound, revisiting the fragments of identity and preserved traces with a melancholic touch that combines a multitude of influences, weaved together through an emotive narrative. 

Forever questioning the present, his production navigates the multiple shades of life and its bittersweet discontents.
