Rene &amp; Martin met in the mid nineties, when they were both were part of a Copenhagen based party-organiser-team called ROTUNDUM.
Both in love with the deep dark and slow tunes played in the morning at their parties, they also very much loved the twisted psychedelic goa-trance sounds that housed the night.
So when they decided to join musical forces in '98, it was a mixture of those two genres that ultimately led to the uniquely characteristic Beat Bizarre sound - not knowing that this new fusion was about to start a movement later known as "Progressive Trance".
This unique sound spoke to people from all over the world - so when LEWD was released in 2001 as the second album release from Iboga, it was an instant success, giving Rene &amp; Martin the opportunity to travel the world with their Beat Bizarre project and play at some of the greatest parties ever made!
The timeless sound of the LEWD album gives it a fresh feel to this day, and makes it a welcome addition on any psychedelic dance floors. The remastered sound gives this impactful album a newly polished finish, paying homage to its timeless place in the heart of progressive psytrance lovers, while also introducing the unique Beat Bizarre sound to a new generation of listeners.

My first outdoor event in 15 months was wonderful, I played a progressive into fullon psytrance set after sunset on Saturday night from 8:30pm to 10:00pm at the Psytribe, DaleCaliBr, and DesertRats Solstice party just outside of Los Angeles in SoCal on 6.19.21. First outdoor event since the state fully reopened.  Was a proper dancefloor and a real good time! The set went from 137 bpm to 142 bpm playing out of the progressive and techno from Willy Electronarcosis building up for the night into Quadra. DJ Ipcress (Chris) has been at the forefront of the underground electronic music scene for over 10 years. Having honed his unique psychedelic techno sound in the London warehouse parties of the mid 2000’s, he moved seamlessly to the festival circuit and has played many gnarly events since 2007. Combining the driving basslines of contemporary techno and the melodic structures derived from his background in psychedelic music you can expect a journey as the layers are built up and groove locked in. In 2012 he teamed up with Ben Coda and launched the famous NANOPLEX LIVE project which has captivated fans around the world with 3 albums, a number of high profile EP’s and performances at Boom, Ozora, Rainbow Serpent, Glastonbury and Noisily Festival to name a few. You can find Ipcress collaborating with the best in the biz, predominantly releasing his records on his home label IbogaTech. 

Chris is also one of the main pillars of Noisily Festival, a well-known UK festival that has grown leaps and bounds over the years, providing a unique space for the psychedelic subculture to flourish.
