The 18th addition to Observant’s catalog is provided by the Italian producer 'Hanton'. Titled “Desiderio”, this EP is a testament to his brevity for serving up structured textures consolidated to corrugated beats.

The opener “Ambiente” is a claustrophobic chugger with a precocious body to the low end, showing off its subdued off-beat kicks as it begins, and swiftly ascends into a textural frenzy of corrosive plucks and dark pads that cryptically call and respond. Kinetic toms sit beneath the heaving kick drums of “Desiderio”, along with a modulated synth-line taking on a few iterations through the bars of this grisly and tactile offering. Rounding off with “Eterna”, the final output from Hanton, breaking up the monotony of a four-to-the-floor beat, this spicy Euclidian drum work trades typical synth lines for assertive drones and shapeshifting resonant noises.
