Still need to sort out vocals but thought I'd share it again anyway, enjoy! Still mixed and recorded on Pro Tools with the guitar and bass recorded by me accompanied by MIDI drums.

Elements Song (no real name yet)

This is a piece in Sonata Form that was written for a Uni assignment. It was recorded on Pro Tools through an Akai EIE Pro. Plugins I used include Amplitube 4 (for guitar sounds), EZ Drummer, and EastWest Play for the bass (as well as various other plugins).

Death And The Iron Maiden

Another track I've written for a uni assignment, this time for songwriting. We were given a set of lyrics to write a piece of music to so mine is set to an old German story about a crazy tailer who chops off the thumbs of kids who suck them.

Think A Little Piece of Heaven, by Avenged Sevenfold, crossed with A Nightmare Before Christmas.

As always it was recorded on Pro Tools with my usual plugins; Amplitube for guitar, EZ Drummer and Eastwest Play for the accordion, celeste and tuba at the start.

Now although this music sounds quite pleasant 
There’s a story here that’s much less so
The tale of Naughty Suck-a-Thumb 
Who’s learnt to listened to his mum

There’s some final stages to our plan

One day Mamma said “Conrad dear, I must go out and leave you here
But mind now, Conrad, what I say, don’t suck your thumb while I’m away
The Great Tall Tailor always comes to little boys who suck their thumbs
And ere they dream what he’s about, he takes his great sharp scissors out
And cuts their thumbs clean off - and then, you know, they never grow again

Mamma had scarcely turned her back, the thumb was in
The door flew open, in he ran, the Great, Long, Red-legged Scissor-man
Oh! Children, see! The tailor’s come and caught out little Suck-a-Thumb
Snip! Snap! Snip! The scissors go; and Conrad cries out “Oh! Oh! Oh!”
Snip! Snap! Snip! They go so fast, that both his thumbs are off at last

Mamma comes home: there Conrad stands
And looks quite sad, and shows his hands
“Ah!” said Mamma, “I knew he’d come 
To naughty little Suck-a-Thumb.”

So farewell Long, Red-legged Scissor-man 
We’ve only just begun our plan
But be warned kiddies, don’t you stray
Or we’ll come and snatch your thumbs away!

The Story of Little Suck-a-Thumb

This piece of music is a theme for an imaginary video game boss. It's a Spider that will get weaker and weaker as you fight it and the music would reflect that (with a surprise at the end). Each section of the music would repeat until enough damage had been done which would trigger new animations and a change in the theme.
