My Mistake Sheeran Looper+ Mash up

I wrote “Float” back in 2023. I had been trying for a while to write my next catchy pop tune, but everything that actually came out was slow and depressing. So I stopped fighting against it and decided to let whatever come out, actually form. I was going through a bit of down period with my mental health as I usually do in the winter time, so decide to write about that. The idea was of someone who was lost out at sea. They’re tired, they’re fighting against the waves, and they’re trying to find the safety of their boat. But it’s cold, and dark. You can’t see anything. They’re beginning to lose the battle. They think about their family and try to keep on fighting for their sake. But eventually they run out of steam and can no longer float. 

The song was originally supposed to be released in January, but it eventually got delayed and shelved due to some issues I was experiencing with the recording process. I always planned to go back and finish the song, but it just never happened. So I found some time and managed to merge together some bits and pieces that we had recorded during the 2023 sessions, with the few bits we did for the 2024 session to create a “finished” version.

It’s not been properly mixed and mastered as of yet. But, once it is, then it will be properly released on all streaming platforms. For now, it’s an exclusive to just this platform as I wanted the almost finished product to see the light of day.

This song was in collaboration with Frazer Mitchell from Antix Music Network who produced the track.
