THIS is definitely just a first take to share and solicit ideas. It's too long I know ...(the areas marked Rap, were added for explanation purposes / really lost just yet what to do, don't know if I even need them) Used the same chord progression ...mistake or not? THE PHRASING is very tired and full of errrors)as my voice is today ...and will be improved the next time!!!

Took some candy from the third aisle… and then the  store clerk he surprised. 
Like a fool left my bike outside …when I returned, I paid the price. 
I ain’t proud of what I did, but it’s what I was 
Just a young boy raised alone with not too much 

The burr oaks on the school road ain’t standin’ quite as proud 
Every year a few more branches fallen to the ground 
Nineteen-Ten they planted them, in the dirt along this road 
Shade and comfort lined in rows, where the farmer’s crops were sowed 
A few brave soldiers … and ghosts, … dyin’ slow 
Now the the Stop and Go,…ain’t there no more

Dozens of years just memories, but in my mind still standing tall 
Racin’ down to meet you ,,,before the bus left … to go downtown

Now the stop and Go, just up and gone like you

School days running late …as always, took the shortest route I could. 
Through the fields, behind the houses, to where  the arching Burr oaks stood. 
The others at the corner waitin’, where I should be right now. 
If I didn’t make it, it was it was two miles more to town. 
Just a young boy running fast, but now it’s ghosts dying slow. 
The Stop and Go, ain’t there no more. 

Bedford Falls, George Baily … this ain’t your home no more 
Ain’t no angels, mamma waitin … no one’s at the door 
Time, it just keeps marchin’ on, till the Yellow-Brick-Road turns brown 
Dorothy, this ain’t Kansas, and Aunt Em she ain’t around. 
Just a few brave soldiers … and ghosts dying slow

My personal digital mix of this song from the original raw tracks taken from the 2 inch analog tape it was originally recorded on.  Originally recorded at Archive Recording on an MCI JH-24 tape machine by Wes Johnson.  Mixed and Mastered in UA LUNA by Patrick Neville.  It's all a learning experience for me!  Let me know what you think of my mix!

This latest Eclectic Collective song was probably the most collaborative in a true sense as we've yet released. The song began with Josh trying to piece together a couple of ideas that he'd come up with on the piano. He sent his ideas to JJ, who took out a connecter section that Josh had no intention of making anything of, and turned it into the body of the song. He returned the song to Josh complete with a signature JJ Terrell climactic coda. Then Josh added the bass to JJ's piano, with some help from the always solid drums from Ken. The way it usually goes is that Josh comes up with a scratch bass line to accompany the song, then Ken adds drums, then Josh goes back and adds the bass to fit the beat. Sometimes they go back and forth, but not this time so much. 
  Then, Stephen added the foundational guitar in the first section, and came up with the idea for the coda. Josh added some mandolin to the coda, too, after which Stephen redid the guitar in the coda to make it very dynamic and part the clouds. Tez finally came along and added the fiery solo and the charming fills in the main section. Most of this time, MD had been working on the narrative lyrics and refining his melodic vocals. Finally, Stephen put it all together for us and mixed it in his expert fashion. 
  We hope you enjoy the thrill of the climax, and also get a chuckle out of the lyrics, which are included below.

Im from Melbourne Australia, I have been playing guitar for many years now and played in two bands during the 80's & 90's (STOLEN CAR original) & (STORM cover),both bands never released any material. Since 2010 i have been writing songs and tunes and recording them in my music room (3rd Bedroom), i play Guitar, Bass, Keys, BFD2 Drums(programmed)and Vocals on all of my songs which i class as Demo's, I love all types of music but Hard Rock, Rock to Alternative appeals to me most.
