Made up of Speaks & Ruff Tactics the British duo based on the East Coast of Australia who have been turning heads since 2011 with their signature "rough and smooth" brand of jungle and drum & bass.

Live mix for Energy 1058 as part of their Tapepack takeover event.. Mission was to recreate / pay respect to a tape pack that was significant to each DJ.. My choice was a late 1995 set from Bryan Gee, from a tape pack called 'Euphoria - Jungle Flavour'(https://on.soundcloud.com/1zeSR). Anyone who knows me properly knows how much I love that set.. Rinsed it since I was a kid.. Did my best live on the night to give it the respect it deserves, I'm no Bryan Gee though clearly.. Data B makes his full Codename: RCRDS debut with 'Deep Reflections EP', which provides a stunning showcase of this rising producers talents.

The EP opens with 'Elsewhere', a euphoric collaboration with label co-owner Moakz with spine-tingling pads and soaring leads entwined with rolling breaks and bass for a superb opener. The EP continues with the deep liquid roller 'Wakeup', full of crisp drums and chopped vocals, before moving into the glacial-tinged beauty of 'Change Your Mind'. This echoes the work of masters such as LSB with its introspective vocals, stunning strings and plucked guitars. The release then switches into another direction to close the EP for the crusty breaks and eerie vocals of the rolling 'Broken Window'.

Bet you didn't have this collaboration on your 2025 Bingo card. We joined forces because we felt like each of us approaches production with a very personal touch and vision. Our music has a lot creative overlaps, so everything we did came naturally, no fighting, just vibing and making weird sh1t. 

So in that sense we are absolutely stoked we made it on our favourite label which each of us eye very closely. Neksus is a place for the true next-level sound of the current era and it is an honour to land our music on the UK soil.
