Jack and the Beanstalks formed in the early stages of 2016. The band consists of Jack Lonie, Travis Smith, Sam Thompson-Kennedy, Khalan Ford and Nicholas Smith. Sharing a mutual love for blundstone boots and classic rock music the guys decided to create the band on the first day of school in their music class. 
Their days then consisted of practice at both school and Travis’ house till the early hours of the morning. Their first performance was the 27th of May at their school ball. The night was a great success and the boys decided that they would continue to play, leading to their second gig; the north west regional rock challenge. Many gigs have followed since then.
Influences include such artists as: Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. 
Jack and the Beanstalks will continue to perform gigs all over the North-West Coast of Tasmania and are particularly keen to play New Year’s Eve on the Foreshore for Skyfire this year. 
They really are the best thing since sliced bread.
