What's that?? Special Guest singers?!  Yup, a quick get together last night and a few of the tunes are having their harmonies put into overdrive...big ups to Andy & Kizzy for picking this stuff up so quickly - this was only the fourth time they'd heard the song! WOWZERS!!

Paradise Vocal Rehearsal (with Andy Newman & Kizzy)

Perth-grown band Jack & The Queen bring to you a delightful mix of faux-folk and acoustic indie-pop sensibilities. The plan was simple – a guy a girl, a guitar, a ukulele and harmonies galore. Sweet yet tangy like lemonade for your ears, Jack & The Queen are sure to make you smile.
Fast becoming a regular feature in various establishments around Perth and Fremantle, Jack & The Queen continue to win fans wherever they play with their original, melody-driven songs, undeniable stage presence and lighthearted yet slightly inappropriate banter.  Having recently expanded their line-up to include drums, the band is currently searching for a bass player whilst continuing to build their profile in the Perth live music scene.
Formed in 2011, Jack & The Queen comprises of a veritable United Nations of musicians who have come to call Perth home. The band features Melbourne born Jum Ryan on vocals, guitar, ukulele and glockenspiel, former Canberra-based songbird Ellen Kimball also on vocals, ukulele and occasional glockenspiel and the Swiss born and multilingual Pascal Buenzli on drums. Their influences range from Bon Iver and Blur to Angie Hart, Belle & Sebastian and Jolie Holland.  The band is working towards the release of their first EP, due out later in 2012.
