"Vietnamese Baby" :::: When the opportunity came to contribute a song for a "New York Dolls" tribute album that "The" David Johansen (singer of the NYDolls) and Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) were also contributing track on; the pressure to make a track that could stand out above the hype was a tall order. I recorded, mixed and sang lead vocals & had Anthony and his band "Slow Motorcade" perform the music. I had recently finished mixing the "Slowmotorcade" album "Sex, Drags & Rock 'n' Roll" so it seemed fitting that we team-up to add a song for the NYDolls comp album. Although I had just come back from 9 months in Vietnam with my Vietnamese ex-girlfriend, we truly picked "Vietnamese Baby" because it was one of those great songs that needed a shot of adrenalin. David was impressed and when the "New York Dolls" reunited, he started performing his song with my outro backup vocal idea.  This song was originally released off the NYDolls self-titled album in July 1973 & produced by Todd Rundgren.

"Revolution" by the "Barb Wire Dolls" mixed & produced by Jack Atlantis (this was recorded from Brazil Radio "B1-FM")

"Barb Wire Dolls" ::::::::::::::: Being managed by Tom Zutaut (the guy who discovered "G&R", "Motely Crue", "Metalica", "PIL", "Cure", "Muse", etc.), I first saw this Greek Punk band in Hollywood during the band's famed "Viper Room" 10 residency shows there. One year later I ran into them while living in Albuquerque as they were living in the desolate Deming, New Mexico writing songs for their anticipated upcoming first album. I suggested we do a show together in ABQ so we double-headlined a wild night of stage storming with an after-party that lasted till the morning. The next day on two hours sleep, we decided to record their new songs so I arranged a last minute recording session at "Que? studio" in ABQ and 5hrs later we had 5 songs. "Revolution" was the first one I mixed after some well needed sleep . . . June 2012
 
Brazil Radio B1-FM ::::::::::::::: "Pyn" (guitarist in "Barb Wire Dolls") called me a few days after I mixed the song, informing me that "Revolution" was being played in heavy rotation on Brazil's biggest rock station "B1-FM" saying they love the song "Revolution" and want to have an exclusive on any of the next songs we release. . . . . 
The intro before the full song is a special promotional station ID made by the radio station.

Revolution (by Barb Wire Dolls mixed by Jack Atlantis | from Brazil Radio B1-FM)

A song from my instrumental project I wrote & mixed called "Drüma†ic" in 1994 with drummer Kevin Pinnt. Kevin & I did two albums under the name "Drüma†ic"; 1995 & 2002. Orchestral, Industral Experimental soundtrack we placed songs in film, radio and a few live shows. Kevin & I worked together on other projects as producer & drummer like "Chihuahua", "Twinstar" &  "Silver Scream". 

Sanctus (1994)

This instrumental I created under the project name "Drüma†ic" with Kevin Pinnt in 2001. Released under the Tone Casualty record label. This song was from our 2nd album the first being released in 1995. Kevin & I released songs for film, radio & a few live shows. This song was played heavily on Los Angeles radio station KCRW. I recorded & mixed this song in my home studio during the Summer of 2001 in Los Angeles.

Band Bio::::: Los Primos has been entertaining audiences all over the Southwest for nearly a decade. This young trio is noted as one of the favorite Mexican folk band's in New Mexico. The "Los Primos style" is unique but includes the traditional songs of the mariachi and Mexican trio romantico. Los Primos has had the privilege of being voted Best Traditional Mexican band of Albuquerque, twice in the "Albuquerque Magazine".

Behind the Mix::::: When I was asked to mix this album, I was dissapointed that I had not meet them before they recorded the raw tracks. All of their recorded tracks of this 13-song album were flawed by bad recording levels, counter-productive mic placements, phase issues, and every song had noise-blemishes on the sustained ends. I knew it would be a challenge to have the band sound as wonderful to the ear as they do when they are in a room together. My goal was to make the mistakes in their recording invisible & their album sound as smooth and effortles as a ballet. . . A Flamenco Ballet.
