Tell Tae Me

A rare recording of Barbara Dickson and me around 1965 when we were itinerant folksingers around Scotland. The song is a good example of bawdy Scots humor and poking fun at the aristocracy of the day. From the 1600s. There's a small glitch towards the end where the original tape broke.

Earl of Errol

The small hamlet of Fordell is in West Fife in Scotland. It has a castle where fancy balls would be held. Nearby was a coal mining village and the song is from the point of view of a young coal miner imagining taking his love to the ball at the castle. Written by Jim Dunn, expanded from a fragment his father remembered (they both worked at that coal mine) and embellished by me.
