with their woolen patterns woven through.

That vacant lot of dirt along the alley
transformed into a pumpkin patch on Halloween,
but now, it is a forest filled in evergreen.
And the trees’ crispy smell, like the ring of a bell
rustles ev’ry cell of my being.
When I feel my heart freeing, I can tell it’s almost Christmas.
