"One name that has been echoing through the streets of Philadelphia for the a few years now is Jack Deezl. The local producer/multi-instrumentalist is constantly pushing his futuristic sound to new heights and uncharted territories. While Jack Deezl’s sound is unmistakably apparent in all his productions, with each new release he expands that sound further across the broad blanket of electronic music. “Future Bass” is the easiest description one might think of for Jack Deezl’s sound, but it’s difficult to truly say the producer is strictly encased in one single genre. Elements of hip-hop, bass, glitch, and electronica are all consistently abundant in Jack Deezl productions. The use of live instruments, most predominantly guitar, often also adds a rock music edge to the mix.

With Jack Deezl’s fifth studio release, Whoa! - it’s quite certain that this record will stand to be the producer’s most defining work yet. It’s a mist of jubilant, swirling synthesizers, pitted against syncopated, frenetic drums and basslines. The sound design is what may bring people to call the music “Future bass” but it’s a lot more complex than it sounds.
