Here is the 1st ever 99.1 KGGI FM Hott Mixx (Riverside/San Bernardino). Sorry for the poor audio as it was recorded on cassette and this is a restoration from the original audio.

30 years ago I received a call from my record pool director saying that 99.1 was starting a mix show. So I put a mix together and drop it off at the radio station when the receptionist said to take it to the back to give to the promotions director. When I go to the back the gentleman says I know you and said he had seen me as a club DJ before. He said I’ve been trying to find you for a while. So I gave him my mix tape and it was put on a pile of about 40 others from various DJs. Then he directed me to a hallway with two turntables and a mixer and a monitor. He said go ahead and spin. So I mixed about four or five songs and he said you’re hired. History changed and I became the 99.1 KGGI FM mixmaster. The 1st ever for the radio station. Believe it or not I started recording the mixes on a cassette deck the station provided me with and then I moved over to reel to reel. Eventually the HOTT MIXX went live at Club Metro in Riverside and was an awesome experience that I’ll never forget. DJ Pat D has mixed at the largest clubs in Illinois, Texas and California and was the mixmaster for the number 1 radio station in the Inland Empire – 99.1 KGGI FM. DJ Pat D has been committed to the highest quality and professionalism. 

Pat took his love for music to the lab and started creating tracks. His track, “Creator” and was recently featured in a tsunami relief album as well as being available for download on Beatport.com and other outlets. Pat has other tracks available. 

The music still keeps pumping as Pat has several mixes on-line, tracks, djing events and even can be found mixing it up with guest spots on internet radio shows throughout the world.
