This is a translation in Dutch of "From A Distance" by Julie Gold, a great song covered by many singers. Mine is the only version in Dutch as far as I know. It appears on my album "Wereld Van Papier" from 1994, but this is a fresh recording done in my own Timpada Recording Studio.

This is a originally written as a Christmas song: The world is talking about peace every year, and unfortunately it looks like we will be doing that for another while...

I recorded this some 10 years ago, with a bit of a choir, some magic midi, and the bells of St Bartholomew's Church in Ballsbridge, Dublin, Ireland.

For that Christmas feeling, and for some family history.

It is quite long at 04:37 minutes, that is because of the cheesy instrumental bit at the end. Let's just hope you like it.
