Two beautiful traditional tunes played on a gorgeous castagnari Mory DG kindly loaned by Dave Gray. The first is Haste to the Wedding, however this version is from the Adderbury tradition and personally, I believe it outshines other variants by miles. The second is The Gallant Huzzar, found within the Bledington tradition.

This version of 'From Night 'Til Morn' is commonplace in and around the Sussex county.  The version of 'The Shropshire Militia Hornpipe' was collected from the playing of John Kirkpatrick, who found it in a book of military march tunes.

A popular traditional tune collected in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in 1805, if not before.  Jack is playing a Castagnari Studio D/G.

Bonaparte's Expedition

Jack Hogsden is a traditional folk musician from the South East of England, taking traditional songs and treating them with original arrangements.  The stories depicted in his material are those of the working people, passed down through the generations, yet the meanings are still as current as they were before.  His tunes are generally traditional English melodies, with contemporary pieces from around the world, as well as his own.
