We are proud to announce the arrival of another awesome EP from the legendary Enoo Napa. "Mind Control Ep" consists of two killer afohouse tracks. The first one, 'Mind Control', is a very energetic beat train, accompanied by percussions, with a hypnotic evolution of very aggressive electronic synths. The track is a constant crescendo until it reaches the central break and then explodes, creating a magical atmosphere on the track.
'Whishbone' has a beat with a wider breath, again accompanied by refined percussion. The electronic synth is well structured and evolves perfectly crossed to the drafting of the whole track. The break is very intense and suggestive but at its end the track has an opening that will leave the dancefloor breathless! An EP that rocks!

"Love In Times Of Crisis Remixed Pt 1" is the first remix package of Hyenah's debut album.
Some RISE' favorite producers re-interpreted the original collaborations in their very own ways, that we love them so much for: Super Flu, Caiiro, Santiago Garcia and Masšh.

Super Flu picked the Hyenah x Pablo Fierro x Lazarusman collaboration "The Balance" and turned it into a powerful club anthem - in their super signature sound.

Caiiro twisted Hyenah x Nanghitis "Your Love" from a NYC style Classic House tune into a melancholic and deep Afro House monster, which lets Nanghitis voice shine in a completely different way - Caiiro style!

Santiago Garcia took on "The Rite", a collaboration of Hyenah and Ernesto & The Basement Gospel. He switched it up with his quirky secret SG spices. We really don't know how to label his version. It doesn't matter though since it's bringing the heat.

Last but not least, we got Masšh, one of South Africa's brightest rising stars. What he did to the G-Wash10 x Hyenah collaboration "Rain Queen" is African energy at its best. Wait until you hear this one out loud.

As a show of thanks and appreciation, Saint Evo releases a free track for his fans and the masses, titled "Where Is My Lover" featuring the amazing self-taught artist, percussionist and guitarist Tetu Shani also known as the  “African Troubadour”.

In "Where Is My Lover", Saint Evo and Tetu Shani converge in creating a lovely masterpiece, Shani utilizing unique traditional instruments such as the Kubing, fusing them with folk rhythms from a modern acoustic guitar accompanied by a great bittersweet story of love and Saint Evo enmeshing elements from his equatorial realm of pulsating percussion, basslines and ambience resulting in an Afro House track that speaks to the heart and soul.

Afro House DJ of the year Da Capo!

Midi Minds Kenya in conjunction with The Safari Collection, Backdrop Agency & Madorasindahouse travelled to Samburu National Conservancy to capture and highlight the musical identity of the Samburu warriors, women and children, in the form of a song based sample pack, a documentary format video, and a Various Artists music compilation (VA).

This project is set out to raise awareness, financial ability and cultural highlight towards the Samburu tribe and community, through using selected Recordings for the production of this 19-track compilation. It features productions by Laolu, Armonica, Da Capo, Caiiro, Shimza, Umami and many more, as well as local Kenyan talent, such as Suraj, Saint Evo, Foozak & Dylan-S.

After visiting the Westgate area of Samburu, and discussions with the community leaders, we found the most common day to day issue they face is lack of educational infrastructure. We firmly believe that this is a cause worth advocating for.

The community is not able to establish a sustainable educational system and that is why part of the proceedings will go towards building a class-room in the primary school and provide sustainable contributions to the teachers fund. The whole process will be part of a documentary that will be released along with the Compilation, in an event held in Nairobi, Kenya on the 30th of November 2019.
