Again introducing 7 new artists to the label including a production debut by Carmen Electro who releases her first ever track and music from Berghain / Panorama bar regulars like Zombies in Miami and Pink Concrete. This VA dives into the many facettes in between house and techno. 

Bringing some vintage heat to the VA, LA-based 1morning drops “Like a Funk Machine”. As the name suggests, this one leans into classic funk elements: organs, piano, shakers, and quirky synth chops riding a driving, crunchy low end. It sounds and feels old-school for a reason.

The challenge: "This weekend we are going to focus on one part of the synthesizer – the LFO or Low Frequency Oscillator. 
From subtle vibrato to, wub wub bass to full on audio-rate squeal, use of the LFO can transform a sound.
I want you to make a jam the makes the LFO the star – let’s see what you can do!"

The thinking - I started messing with the fast LFO on shape on the Monologue, and filtered it so that the sound of the LFO comes through as a harsh tone. 
There's also LFO action on the microfreak patch, but it's less in your face.
