CROWD, a new techno label hailing from Berlin with FJAAK at the head, has just released its debut EP, paying homage to oldschool techno while infusing a contemporary twist that is sure to please listeners of both eras. Produced by the legendary Sterac aka Steve Rachmad, the EP is showcasing the versatility and timelessness of techno. The tracks are based on DAT recordings from the 90s that got carefully crafted, highlighting the pure energy and raw emotion of the genre, always leaving the listener wanting more. CROWD's first release marks the beginning of what is sure to be an exciting journey for techno enthusiasts and dancers alike. The label's ethos revolves around the people and the dancefloor, and this is also reflected in its events, which are centered around the gatherings. The label's focal point is undeniably the crowd, which is regarded as the pivotal element of the night. Once again, CROWD gatherings will center their essence on them, with an unwavering focus, ensuring no distractions dilute the experience.

Liverpool lads Zac Fitzsimmons and Tony Burns are two of the most industrious producers in the business, pumping out Matrefakt releases on Shall Not Fade, Edible, Of Unsound Mind, Circus, Trick and their own Attitude to Life label over the past few years. 'Burn' EP, Matrefakt’s third release for Anja Schneider’s Sous Music, finds the pair in characteristic fine form. 
 
The title track hits the ground running, announcing itself with a wallopping kick, tickling hi-hats and a juddering bassline that guides the listener towards a festival-ready confection of hypnotic bleeps and chunky beats. 
 
'Rock' takes on a vaguely tribal flavour with circular drum patterns designed to move hips, snatched vocal samples and delicious guitar licks invoking the funk of millennium-era French touch.
 
They change tack again on 'Crystal', which oscillates between big-room techno and Moroder-esque space disco to dramatic effect. It’s darker than the previous two cuts, perfect for soundtracking early morning journeys inward and again demonstrating Matrefakt’s remarkable range. 
 
Venezuelan-born, Colombian-based producer Confidential Recipe (Rekids) turns in an eyes-down remix of 'Burn', stripping the bassline out of the original to create a more intense afterhours energy.
 
Hot off the back of a recent appearance at Creamfields, Matrefakt’s Watergate debut in March and mixes for Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records and Sarah Story’s Future Dance show on BBC Radio1, Matrefakt are poised for the big time. 
 
Of their latest release on Sous, the duo say, “the label is really becoming a home for us and we are made to feel so welcome by everyone every time. We are also really happy to have Confidential Recipe on the remix for this release, we know Anja is a big fan of what he does and we are too!”
 
Sous is delighted to present the latest package of bonafide bangers from these stars in the making.

Curated nicely with international artists the first part of the release (002.1) features Techno music while the second part of the compilation (002.2) contains Trance music.
 
The money will be donated to the K41 Community Fund (https://k41community.fund). K41 is a prominent Techno club in Kyiv that offers shelter and support for Ukrainians in general and creatives in particular.
 
A record release party will take place at the Berlin club “Zur Klappe” on July 22nd (https://ra.co/events/1730014).

Tibi Dabo drops his new single ‘Triple Frontier’ as he builds towards his much anticipated new album ‘Vista’  on Crosstown Rebels this September.  

Hailing from Barcelona but featuring as a globally touring artist within both electronic and non-electronic realms, Crosstown  Rebels favourite Tibi Dabo’s deep and wide-reaching sound palette sees the Spaniard sound palette reveal a collection of  gems spanning genres and styles. His longstanding passion for the electronic world is often supplemented by unorthodox and  obscure influences which see him journey deeper than most - something that was on show with the first snippet from his  forthcoming LP on recent single, ‘Licht’. Building upon that base and showcasing another side to his diverse sound, late July  brings the second single from the project as he reveals the tantalising sonics of ‘Triple Frontier’.
