This set is very special for me. Here is why.
The first time I heard The Junkies & Carlo Lio - Last Days (Eric Prydz Intro edit) was probably 2010. Later I had the privilege to listen to it live. I remember the reaction of the crowd, the smiles, pure joy when that melodic intro turned to filthy techno. I remember hugging a total stranger. It was one of those memories. I started listening to electronic music around 1995. Back then Richie Hawtin was amongst my favourite dj’s. (Still is, cause he is a legend). His “Plastikman Mixmag Live! Volume 20 (1995)” was probably the first set I was totally in love it. Till today, probably have listened to it at least 1000 times. A timeless set. That is why the opening two songs of that legendary set (Lausen - Dry Ray, G-Man - Quo Vadis) are my second and third song of the set. Fourth song is in my opinion a very underrated but a perfect song (Bmbmnd - Coordination). After this 20 mins, it was time to go back to my normal dark, emotional melodic techno style with strong kicks. I looked for a suitable song for quite a while. Then I remember Charlotte de Witte playing Third Wife - Easy which is actually 139 bpm. I played it at 126 bpm which gave me the feeling I was looking for. I wanted to share these. Because while doing this I enjoyed a lot and it brought back a lot of good memories with it. Hope you enjoy it as well.

Bio:
Pouyan Nazerifar, known professionally as POZIC, was born in Iran in 1987. He began playing keyboards and studying music theory at the age of 14. His interest in electronic music led him to work as a DJ at underground parties in Tehran. In 2019, he immigrated to Turkey and started performing professionally in Turkish nightclubs, specializing in genres such as Techno, Melodic Techno, Minimal Techno, and Progressive House. Notably, since 2022, he has been producing electronic music in the Melodic Techno style.

During this set, POZIC plays his upcoming track "Flight of Dreams" which is set to be released on 15 August 2025 under the label High1 Records, based in Turkey.

Istanbul-based DJ and producer BURCAK returns to Dark City Music with If You Believe, a confident and emotionally charged slice of melodic house that blends cinematic depth with late- night groove.

Known for his finely tuned melodic instincts and genre-spanning sets, BURCAK has built a reputation for creating music that balances introspection with club energy. His previous single Tell Me Why drew attention for its haunting atmosphere and restrained power. With If You Believe, he sharpens that vision even further.

The track is built around a soulful vocal refrain that echoes like a mantra. Crisp percussion and a pulsing low-end drive the rhythm forward, while warm synths and subtle arpeggios build tension without ever tipping into excess. Born in Bulgaria, my musical journey began at the age of 8 as a choir singer. By 10, I had won the national championship as a solo artist, leading to performances on national radio, television, and major events.

At 13, I relocated to Austria, where my passion for music naturally evolved from singing to DJing. After gaining experience in lounges, I earned a residency at one of  Graz’s (Austria) leading clubs in 2013, where I performed for over three years.

In 2015, I signed my first record deal with a small label and released my debut EP. Since 2019, I’ve been fully immersed in music production, exploring various genres and styles to shape and refine my artistic identity.

Although I’ve experimented with a wide range of sounds, my creative vision ultimately found its home in Bigroom Techno – a style that captures the full energy and emotion I strive to deliver. Currently, I’m working on new singles and a potential album, while preparing for upcoming DJ performances.
