Jackson Boddy, 20, made his musical debut in 2018 before taking a multiple year hiatus to hone in on the craft. The Arizona-based artist is back and better than ever with silky-smooth melodies and harmonies unlike anything to come out of the Valley to date. Like most Gen Z kids, starting on YouTube, Jackson taught himself how to play guitar through videos online. At 16, this transpired into pirating FL Studio and learning how to record, produce, mix, and master in his bedroom. He spent the next few years releasing an EP and a few singles with some friends. And at 18, the struggle with his mental health brought the process of finding Jackson’s sound behind closed doors.
 
"Where Have You Been?" outlines a period of character development and growth over the course of five years through personal experiences and detailed references to the exact situations that lead him to where he is at this moment. The eight-song EP is open and honest with it’s self-reflection and provides a unique perspective into Jackson’s journey. Heart is at the forefront of every song, he is emotional, vulnerable, and illustrates the beauty in it.
 
Eccentric vocals and confident delivery tie together to create a complete body of work with a relatable story and high replay value. His creativity is fleshed out in every track through clever songwriting, industry-standard engineering, and innovative production.
