In 1990, Stefano founded Vibraphone Records in the vibrant heart of London, with its maiden release, "NIGHT PASSAGE" by 49th Floor, etching its place in musical history. Crafted within the confines of Stefano's North London bedroom, this debut epitomized the true spirit of house music – raw, authentic, and unapologetically underground. Embracing a hands-on approach, Stefano personally distributed records from the trunk of his Fiat Panda, traversing the streets of London, forging connections with each shop and every DJ who craved the pulse of the underground.

Since making his debut in Madrid in 1995, Ernie has been an iconic member of the underground scene, and his journey is proof of his unwavering love for electronic music. Ernie was influenced by Old School hip-hop and the electronic music of the late 1980s. He soon fell in love with underground culture and made a name for himself as an artist.

Ernie's illustrious career has taken him to renowned venues and festivals worldwide, from the iconic Sónar 2010 in Barcelona to esteemed locales like “Watergate” and “Club Der Visionaere” in Berlin, and “D.Club” in Laussane. He's graced stages at "Northern Purpose" events in London, rocked crowds in Santiago de Chile, Lima, Valencia, Bologna, and Barcelona, among other cities, leaving an indelible mark wherever he performs.

Known for his impeccable blend of dub techno, Deep house, Detroit house, Chicago house, Disco, and Funk, Ernie's sets are a journey through the diverse realms of electronic music. As a dedicated vinyl lover, his selections are not just tracks, but stories woven together with skill and finesse.

In 2004, Ernie co-founded “Minuendo Recordings,” a label that has become synonymous with the eclectic sounds of the contemporary electronic underground. From IDM to Ambient, Deep House to Techno, Minuendo has released music from esteemed artists such as Antonelli Eclectr., Trolley Route (aka Oscar Mulero), Juju & Jordash, and Patrice Scott.

The Twilight Industries arrives mere weeks after Edinburgh-based producer Chris Lyth's previous Jacksonville EP Sometime Shortwave (also on Doppler). Like its predecessor, the new one's a two-track affair of considerable craft that plays like mood music for modern-day clubbers. “Party on Strange Street” rolls in on a deliciously slinky mid-tempo house swing that Lyth then gradually fleshes out with warm chords, subtle bass flavour, and soulful vocal interjections. There's an appealingly relaxed vibe to the track, which even gets a tad dubby in its middle section when the beats briefly drop away. Percolating more determinedly by comparison, “Twilight Industries” opts for slightly spacier climes in its embrace of synthetic colour while also revealing a raw and earthy side in the thrust of its jacking pulse. Throughout its eight-minute run, Lyth amplifies its trippy feel by adding swirls of echoing voices and deepens the track's charging groove by working analogue drum playing into its percussive mix. Just as it has in the past, Lyth's smooth Jacksonville sound again goes down so easily it requires next to no effort to get behind.

Chances are that Jacksonville is having a lie down right now. After all, two releases in only a matter of months from the self-confessed procrastinator and perfectionist must have left the poor love worn out.

All mocking aside, however, it is a very welcome return. Hot on the heels of Doppler 06 at the tail end of last year comes rather cunningly Doppler 07 – the Twilight Industries EP – from the Edinburgh-based producer and label owner known better to family and friends as Chris Lyth.

Twilight Industries is a gorgeous, shuffling deep house jam brought alive by lush chords and warm, echoing stabs. The much-experienced Lyth has been releasing music under various pseudonyms for more than 10 years but now seems to have settled into his Jacksonville alter ego, which emerged back in 2008. He also seems to have eased into a very satisfying house groove in his dotage that is deep enough for the heads and spirited enough for the floor. Indeed, once it gets into its stride Twilight Industries is not only a worthy follow-up to the recommended recent Sometime Shortwave EP but is also right up there with the very best of Lyth’s work across all his guises.

Ably completing the EP is Party On Strange Street. Again it is all about the deep chords and irresistible kick on this one, although Jacksonville throws in the occasional vocal stab for good measure to complete what is a thoroughly enjoyable if not unexpectedly swift return from the man originally from Leeds. He is clearly on a roll but whether Jacksonville’s new-found industry means he is heading straight back into the studio or hitting the sofa remains to be seen.
