Thief is the new electronic pop project of PJ Wolf. A previous winner of the Triple J Unearthed Top Song competition and recipient of the Foundation for Young Australians Buzz Grant, PJ was recently shortlisted for the prestigious Vanda and Young songwriting competition for his track Closer.
Thief was born when PJ traded in his guitars for synthesizers, crafting a fresh minimalist sound that would embrace the aesthetic of contemporaries such as Metronomy, Frank Ocean and N.E.R.D. 
Tapping the talent of producer Matt Redlich (Emma Louise, Hungary Kids Of Hungary, Yes You) to help out with production and mixing he is now ready to share with the world his debut single Broken Boy on September 6th, 2013.

Meet Peanut. He's the pug on the artwork. Yeah, we know him personally. He's got ADD, ADHD, tourettes and something else that hasn't been discovered yet. He eats everything, farts like a steam engine and destroys everything in sight.

So we rewarded his cuteness with "soundcloud fame". Lucky asshole. He doesn't even KNOW how lucky he is! He'll just continue licking his own butt and stuff, completely oblivious to his new celebrity status. Expect him to be on the cover of US Weekly sometime soon and dating T-Swift. Maybe...just maybe....we're in the presence of a legend?

The DL:
This one's a bit different for us. Unlike our usual remixes of dance and indie artists, we decided to take a stab at a poppier track. We love the vocal hook and thought we could make it into something fresh and dancey. We sped up the BPM, made the drums a bit groovier and threw in a couple quirky chords and vocal chops to give it an identity of its own. Hope you dig the feel good vibes :)
