A foray into multi-session/track version of this song. Vocals and guitar done in one take per voice, percussion in two more separate takes. I get sole blame for all sounds here. No loops or samples of anyone else's sounds were used in this.
 :) Admittedly way too many effects. 

One of my all-time favorite DJs, Martin Dragonfly, said in a recent post about 'You are the music having a human experience' and 'you are the point the universe is making's and that inspired the rest of this song.  If there ever was something I could tell so many of our past echoes, this would be among the first.

Original clawhammer banjo instrumental I used to play to my dear departed canine friend Mister Grover. Grover lived another three and a half blessed and full years surrounded by seven other canine buddies, several cats, and plenty of human attention such that he must have thought he had survived and gone to heaven-on-earth. And he did!

This song captures some of his attitude and sassiness.

So much love and gratitude to everyone who came out and danced with me this past Wednesday at El Bar Camaleón, that also means you Yummy! Week after week, I’m humbled and energized by this beautiful community. This set was one of my favorites to play, fluid, funky, full of love and laughter. I could feel the pulse of the room shift and rise with each track. 💃🏽🕺🏽

Massive thanks to the crew at El Bar Camaleón for the ongoing support, warm hospitality, and the space to explore sound in new directions. Being the resident DJ here every Wednesday is a true gift. 🙏

This journey flowed from throwback grooves to nu-disco, from Afro-Latin rhythms to soulful house, classic mashups, tribal funk, and a touch of the unexpected. Whether you were there in person or tuning in from afar, I hope this mix brings you joy, movement, and maybe even a few goosebumps.
