I would've had this one out sooner but I wanted to get a couple more things done; unfortunately college has kept me a bit more busy than I'd have liked, so instead I'm just releasing this one and maybe in the nearish future you'll see the other stuff show up. I'm like. a good deal late with giving extra context to this track and I still don't have much for this but what I CAN say is that this ISN'T a Snowgrave-themed track in the slightest. None of that "Oh no Kris did some fucked up shit watch out Susie and Ralsei" shit.

Attack of the Lost Lightners' "context" is similar to that of Placed Bets in terms of how it takes place. Keep in mind that this was made before I even knew Spamton was more than just the funky lil dumpster man I had no clue this man had a secret boss theme.
Queen doesn't exist in this particular timeline. Noelle and Berdly end up ruling over the Dark World instead, for reasons I have yet to remember.

Homestuck - Sunslammer (2019 Cover)

When most people set out to create studies to enhance their skills the subject matter typically ends up being something evocative. Naturally, I made one of Undertale/Deltarune era Toby Fox lol.

My main takeaway from this exercise is that Fox's bread and butter are melodies that are simple yet catchy, with the appropriate backing and percussion to supplement them. My goal was to pursue this line of thought to the best of my ability, utilizing the same sort of rhythms throughout the track, most of which can even be heard in the first few seconds. Thematically, I can see this being an upbeat area theme in the first half but it loses all pretense of that once the shreddage and UGK kick in so who knows. In his defense, his repertoire is larger than most people give him credit for but I stuck with something familiar since that seems to be his signature style.

As for what Madeline from hidden indie gem Celeste is doing in the thumbnail with Toby, I don't really have an avatar to represent myself so I just drew her. As for why her specifically, something about heat from fire, don't look too deep into it haha.

Next up is Lena Raine or Flashygoodness, I can't decide which one would end up being cooler.
