To celebrate, we are bringing the classics back, remastered and with new remixes from an amazing group of heavy hitters from all corners of the dance world. Given that Yoshitoshi's roots are ingrained in house music, it's only fitting to start the #YoshiClassics campaign with Eddie Amador's "House Music". A true Yoshitoshi classic released in 1998 that went on to become a global phenomena. Great Stuff is kicking off the summer season with a classic and very special release. The label is extremely happy and proud to present you with five brand new mixes of Ron Carroll’s year 2000 smash hit “Lucky Star”! 

Holland’s tech house maestro Rene Amesz has been releasing floor fillers on labels like Toolroom, Suara and Spinnin Deep for years. He starts things off here with a supersonic, bass-heavy take on “Lucky Star” that is naughty and filled with ever more energy.

Great Stuff all-star Mike Vale is an important part of the global dance music circuit for years and always delivers the goods in perfect style, and he does so once again here with his heartfelt take on “Lucky Star” that merges flammable beats with tense low frequencies and cosmic sounds.

Originally from Haarlem in the Netherlands, globetrotting from London to Dubai to Barcelona and now living in Ibiza since 2012, Martijn ten Velden has long established himself as a leading DJ/producer on an international level. His version of “Lucky Star” is wonderfully reminding us of the original’s bliss and melodies. It feels colourful, organic yet extremely fresh. 

Newcomers Chip x Dale are closing out this beautiful collection of remixes and come correct on their booming version of “Lucky Star” with its tight drums, pitched vocals and enormous bassline. Playful and fun all the way!

We had the pleasure to get our hands on the soulful house jam "Sunday Shoutin'", released on 4th Floor / Defected in the year 2000 by JOHNNY CORPORATE, the New-Jersey born and bred, NYC and DC based DJ & producer duo consisting of Doug Smith & Richard Payton. 
The original, remixed by the likes of Eric Morillo and Harry "Choo Choo" Romero, sold over 30,000 copies back in the day and even made it into the UK pop charts. We love this track and have been playing our own vinyl copy so much that it's all scratched and warped now. :) Very excited to share our rework with you! 
Release as an exclusive on Defected In The House on the 11th of February. X
