London-based Arnaud Le Texier is a veteran artist with a strong production pedigree, known for heading up the highly respected Children of Tomorrow label, as well as releasing on Ben Sims' Symbolism, Sven Väth's Cocoon, Slam's Soma, and Christian Wünsch's Tsunami Records.

Jay Clarke is also from London and runs the Blackaxon imprint while having his music found on labels like Ben Klock's Klockworks, Slam's Soma, and Coyu's Suara.

"Cosmic Particle" is a pacy and hypnotic trip with a distinctive dystopian feel amidst haunting, atmospheric features.

The second offering titled "Equinox" utilises electric textures and interesting sonic design over a thunderous beat with a brooding mood and dark elements.

Jay Clarke's remix of Equinox is a full throttle rework that results in a powerful, driving interpretation with its own raw character and ferocious attitude.

The closing original "Ray of Light" propels itself forward with a sinister fervour while using cyclical, chopping tones to create an engaging and cerebral experience.

01. Robert Hoff - Codification

Robert Hoff aka Robert S (PT) from Portugal is known for releasing his music on his own Robert Limited and trau-ma as well as Marco Bailey's MATERIA, Exos' Planet X, INNSIGNN, Planet Rhythm, Soniculture and many more. "Codification" is a delicate and dystopian track with a rolling, hypnotic hook ready to put dance floors under its spell.

Berlin's Miro Pajic aka MSDMNR is a veteran artist with appearances on labels such as Ricardo Garduno's Illegal Alien, Kaiser's K S R, and Portugal's HAYES collective ran by Temudo, Nørbak and VIL. "Messages" is an energetic modular floor worker with a jackin' stomp and powerful, rising tension.

03. Saurio - Cheap Metaphysics

Venezuelan Felipe Párraga aka Saurio is an emerging artist in Bogotá, Colombia and who has featured music on labels like Bruno Ledesma's Concepto Hipnotico, Corpus Black, Diffuse Reality and Warok. "Cheap Metaphysics" is a pacey and moody track with a haunting intensity at its core.

04. Pyramidal Decode - Tundra

Italian Francesco De Marzo aka Pyramidal Decode returns to DEAD CERT. following Jeff Mills' Axis, Developer's Modularz, Abstract Division's Dynamic Reflection and Fernanda Martins' Devotion Records. "Tundra" is a gritty, broken, analogue groove with stabbing notes and whirling, droning harmonics.

Sejon is the alias of Chris Jones from Portsmouth, UK who has an educated ear for superb productions landing his music on Lewis Fautzi's Faut Section, DEAD CERT. Records, Etichetta Nera as well as his own newly launched label V1 Records. He has also remixed Jay Clarke (of Ben Klock's Klockworks) on his Blackaxon imprint and he is also brother to Rich Jones aka Operator (Mord/MindTrip).

"Fragmented Dreams" introduces the EP in style with its swirling pads, metallic highlights and contrasting broken beat.

Second up is "Nimbus" a deep, analogue track with soothing chord waves, a subtle beat and ambient drones.

Lifting things into a new stratosphere is "Reunion" which is an eccentric and relentless, space-funk groove that is bursting with intense percussion sections.

"Simulacrum" is an inspiring closer that has dreamy harmonics, precise details and focuses on a climbing melody laced in melancholic emotion.

AX15 aka Alex Dolby returns to MÉTIER, a veteran artist of the scene and highly prized producer known for releasing on Developer's Modularz, Emmanuel's ARTS, Marco Bailey's MB Elektronics, Teksupport and his own Affekt Recordings.

His educated sound is much loved around the world and Horizons is an album that allows Alex to step into different territory by having electro at its core combined with classic '90s, analogue vibes and deep soultronica.

“True Spirit” opens with harmonic drones and sci-fi ambience before climaxing with a punchy breakbeat. “Nearly Fifty” continues the theme, but with an acid hook and lo-fi style. “Moments” steps into a new realm of thundering electro making it a raw and mesmerising journey. “Model 28” has a modular heart with a classic and engaging sound. “Night Visions” is an angular exploration with shimmering highlights and a quirky groove. “Linear Dimension” takes it back to raw electro while presenting some emotional, arpeggiated chords. “Shades” has a heavy beat offset with haunting, dystopian vibes. Winding down to the title track, “Horizons” is another spacey and sparse cut with pulses and delayed drum rolls creating an atmospheric saga.

"115" is an ambient and trippy soundscape with a patient and cavernous sound made of wonderful design effects.

"Respiro" has a dreamy and delicate, air-filled feeling. The sparse, tide-like pad sweeps create a deep vibe met with the warm groove from the sub bass.

"Null" takes things up a notch with a pacy, broken beat style and rising intensity. Its cyclical elements buzz and fizz creating an ethereal atmosphere.

Closing the EP with "Walk" which is the moodiest offering, using an abstract approach of stripped back tension and creative, warping percussion.

BIOGRAPHY

Having accrued well over 200 DJ gigs to date and a handful of residencies, Jack! Who? aka Iain James Kirk is known for his sets that blend genres with hypnotic beginnings, rhythmic middles and powerful endings, in the aim of creating a musical experience for the listener that captivates their mind and feet in the same instance.

Beginning a musical journey with inspiration from his Grandfather teaching and composing music, then seeing his brother Lone Wolf, known around the world for his unique style of productions and revered scratching skills, he is continuing a musical family legacy in the chosen form that is Techno.

2007 saw the inception of a nationally recognised club night called By Royal Appointment aka B.R.A. in his hometown Sunderland (UK) that featured in DJ Mag and Mixmag as once the third best club night in the North, ahead of established names like Habit, Louche and Ketoloco for example, was where the journey really began.

Progressing a true passion onto a worldwide scale, Iain launched the highly respected deathtechno.com in 2010 that caters for Mixes, Premieres, Reviews, News, Features and more, as the brand continues to steadily grow with now over 12,000 followers on SoundCloud alone. Having included mixes and interviews with acts such as Electric Indigo, Truncate, Tim Xavier, Hans Bouffmyhre, Paul Mac and The Advent, along with many other talented underground artists and DJs, the project remains at the cutting edge of championing the scene. Exclusive radio partnerships see the mixes aired bi-weekly on soe.fm in Germany, Seance Radio in London (UK) and Digitally Imported’s “Underground Techno” channel shortly thereafter covering the USA and the world.

A consistently rising success of Death Techno climaxed in the emergence of a new project named DEAD CERT. Records in 2013, created with long time friend, producer and label owner William Welt. The imprints focus is discovering and nurturing new talent and featuring many established and respected artists. Allowing expression with no boundaries to ensure creativity and freedom, releasing a variety of Techno styles.

Music released on DEAD CERT. Records has included producers like Audio Injection / Truncate, Hans Bouffmyhre, TWR72, Joachim Spieth, DJ Spider to Eomac. To say it has sky rocketed to the forefront of many A-list artists attention is an understatement, where their catalogue of tracks thus far have already been played and charted by selectors like Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, James Ruskin, Rebekah and Cari Lekebusch to name but a few...

The labels first vinyl release was a special collaboration between Iain and William that received a wide range of support, like B.Traits playing on her BBC Radio 1 show, to XLR8R Premiering his track as the label builds new fans and breaks new ground with every release.

2014 saw a move into another new venture for Iain and Will as Mainline PR, handling highly select House and Techno promotion management for a range of world leading record labels. They have already been working with Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Reset Robot, Shlomi Aber, Pfirter, UNER, Davide Squillace, AFFKT and Local Talk Records.
